Monsoon Cabin Condensation

Monsoon-season condensation forms inside vehicles when humid exterior air meets aircon-cooled interior glass, an effect that quality window film slightly reduces by maintaining warmer interior glass surfaces.

During Singapore's monsoon seasons (November–February northeast, June–August southwest), humid outdoor air on cool aircon-chilled glass produces interior condensation, particularly on the windscreen at start-up.

Window film with even modest insulating effect keeps the interior glass surface slightly warmer than untinted glass, reducing condensation frequency. The effect is real but modest — not a primary reason to install film.

Combined with proper interior cleaning and defroster use, quality tinted cars typically condense less than untinted ones during morning monsoon drives.
