Visible Light Spectrum
The visible light spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum the human eye can detect, from approximately 380 nm (violet) to 780 nm (red).
Visible light is what window films balance carefully — too much rejection darkens the cabin and runs afoul of LTA VLT rules. Modern spectrally selective films reject heat in the infrared band while leaving the visible spectrum largely intact.
Within the visible band, films can shift the colour balance. Premium films target a neutral grey appearance; cheaper films often shift warm or green.
For driving applications, neutral-tone visible-light transmission is essential — colour perception of traffic signals and signs must be preserved.
